The CO2 Performance Ladder has been tested in a number of public works contracts in Belgium in recent years. The intention of this pilot phase is to market some public contracts of the three Belgian regions as pilot projects, whereby companies with a certificate on the CO2 Performance ladder or an ambition to obtain such a certificate enjoy award advantage. The approach is inspired by how it works in the Netherlands, where the CO2 Performance Ladder was developed. Are the results of the pilot phase positive? If so, a wider roll-out in Belgium is the ambition. The CO2 Performance Ladder in Ireland is coordinated by CO2-Logic in collaboration with the Foundation for Climate Friendly Procurement and Business - SKAO.
